Al-Quds index declined at the end of today’s session by 0.36% losing 1.88 points to 517.51 points pressured by investment sector which declined by 0.75%.
The general index declined by 0.31% losing 0.87 point and closed at 274.11 points.
Total of 2.5 million shares were traded through 101 transactions at a turnover of $3.5 million. 16 companies participated in trading, 7 rose, 5 declined and the remaining 4 ones kept flat.
The three top gainers were and Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals Co which rose by 4.32%, Al Wataniah Towers Co which rose by 4.3% and The National Bank which increased by 2.6%.
The top three losers were Arab Palestinian Investment Co which declined by 1.8%, Palestine Real Estate Investment Co which shed 1.64% and Palestine Telecommunications which lost 0.9%.
At the sectors level, investment sector led the index down as it declined by 0.75%, followed by services sector which shed 0.63%, while insurance sector rose by 0.60%, industry sector increased by 0.50% and banks sector added 0.17%.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Quds Index closed yesterday’s session declining by 0.46% or 2.40 points and closed at 519.39 points pressured also by the investment sector which decreased by 1.17%. The general index shed 0.37% yesterday or 1.0 points and closed at 574.98 points.
