The benchmark index of Amman Stock Exchange rose at today session’s close boosted by industry and services sectors after two consecutive sessions of decline.
The benchmark index rose by 0.11% and closed at 2123.01 points.
Yesterday, the index had declined by 0.38% losing 8.09 points and closed at 2120.75 points.
The industry sector increased by 0.30% and the services sector rose by 0.17% while the financial sector plunged by 0.08%.
Shares of 128 companies were traded, 39 rose, 33 declined while the remaining ones kept flat.
The top three gainers were, the Jordan French Insurance by 5.56%, National Poultry by 4.96% and Union Land Development Corporation by 4.91%.
The top three losers were, Real Estate Development by 6.25%, Middle East Specialized Cables Company/mesc_jordan Plc by 5.88% and First National Vegetable Oil Industries Co. by 5.56%.
Total of 13.5 million shares were traded through 2878 transactions at a turnover of JOD 7 million.
