The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Sunday in the red after falling by 1.12% or 58.85 pts to 5174.33 pts, thus falling below the level of 5200 pts.

A total of 106.07 shares changed hands as turnover hit AED 309.02 million, through the execution of 2224 transactions.

ADX’s benchmark index declined today as all sectors ended in the red, with the exception of the industrial sector, which gained 1.11%. The consumer staples and banking sector declined the most on Sunday, falling 3.39% and 1.50%, respectively.

Gulf Livestock topped losers today, plunging by 7.98%, while the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) topped declining banking stocks after sliding by 3.57% and 3.28%, respectively. Moreover, the energy sector fell 1.26% as Dana Gas lost 1.47%.

A total of 32 companies traded today, of which 11 gained, 17 retreated and 4 remained unchanged.
