The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Wednesday at 493.13 points, losing 0.02% or 0.09 points. The general index stabilized at its previous level, closing at 263.15 points.
On the sectors level, the service and the investment indices added 0.17% and 0.11% respectively, whereas the insurance, and the banking and financial indices dropped 0.39% and 0.28% respectively.
Trading volume reached 113 THD shares, at a turnover of $155.92 THD, traded through 70 transactions by 14 companies, of which four gained, five dropped and five remained unchanged.
The top three gainers were: Global Com Telecommunication Plc by 11.11%, Ahleia Insurance Group by 6.25% and Al Quds Bank by 1.09%. Whereas, the top three decliners were: Al Wataniah Towers Co by 4.5%, Arab Palestinian Investment Co by 0.93% and Arab Islamic Bank by 0.90%.
The most active companies were Palestine Development and Investment, Global Com Telecommunication Plc and Bank of Palestine with a trading volume reaching 58.2 THD, 10.9 THD, and 8.2 THD shares respectively.
Meanwhile, Palestine Development and Investment, Palestine Telecommunications and Bank of Palestine were the value leaders, upon generating $75.17 THD, $18.43THD, and $16.7 THD respectively.
