Mubasher: Morocco's Attijariwafa Bank plans to submit a bid for the Egyptian operations of Barclays, Reuters reported.

Ismail Douiri, general manager at Attijariwafa, said the bank, which has a presence in 24 countries, including 14 in Africa, is interested in competing for the Egyptian business.

Barclays earlier said it plans to exit its business in Egypt, in addition to selling other units in the other African markets.
