Mubasher: Oman Chlorine Company’s unaudited financial statements, released on Monday, showed a fall of 17.3% in profits for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2016, compared to the same period of 2015.

Net profit reached OMR 484,000 ($1.25 million) in Q1-16, versus OMR 585,000 ($1.51 million) in Q1-15.

Operating profit came to OMR 858,000 ($2.23 million) by the end of March 2016, against OMR 894,000 ($2.32 million) in the same period of 2015, with a 4% decrease.

The Muscat listed company earlier reported a net profit of OMR 2.61 million ($6.78 million) in 2015, rising 16% from OMR 2.25 million ($5.84 million) in 2014.
