EFSA resumes trading on El Ahram for Printing’s stock

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) has decided to resume trading on the shares of El Ahram for Printing and Packing as of Monday, 6 June at 12pm Cairo time, according to a statement.

EFSA had suspended trading on the company’s stock in 26 February 2016. It said that El Ahram for Printing’s disclosures were not consistent with its financial statements for the period ended 30 September 2015, and were a violation to the capital market law no. 95 of 1992 and its executive regulations.

The Egyptian regulator noted that the auditor’s report revealed some violations including proving the company’s backlog of EGP 17.6 million in the period ended 30 September 2015.

The company’s stock gained 9.8% to EGP 4.12 after trading resumed. The bourse suspended the stock for half an hour after it rose by more than 10% during trades.
