Cairo - Mubasher: The Arab Ceramic Co. - Ceramica Remas posted a 46.14% year-on-year profit increase in the second quarter of 2016, according to a bourse filing issued Thursday.

The company recorded a net profit of EGP 170.01 million ($19.14 million) in Q2-16, compared to EGP 11.64 million ($1.31 million) in the same quarter last year.

Profits grew 8.85% for in the first half of the year to EGP 31.34 million ($3.52 million).

Sales during the six-month period ended 30 June 2016, totalled EGP 220.03 million, up 1.91% from figures reported in H1-15.
