Doha – Mubasher: Doha Insurance reported on Monday a net profit of QAR 9.1 million ($2.5 million) for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2016, against a net loss of QAR 2.4 million ($658,000) for Q3-15.

The company’s interim financial statements showed a fall of 28.6% in net profit for the first nine months of 2016 to QAR 30 million, compared to QAR 42 million for the same period of 2015, according to a bourse filing.

The insurer earlier posted a net profit of QAR 20.9 million for the first half of 2016, 53% down from QAR 44.4 million for H1-15.
