Doha – Mubasher: Al Meera Consumer Goods Company announced that it has opened a new branch in Al Wakra (East).

The company stated that the new branch is the third to open its doors to consumers in Al Wakra, according to a bourse filing on Monday.

Saif Said Al Sowaidi, vice chairman, said that the opening of new branches is part of the biggest expansion plan which includes opening 14 Al Meera shopping centres announced in 2015.

The new shopping centre is located in the Al Jabal Area, with the branch entailing a total 2,267 square metre, of which around 1,500 square metre is dedicated to a supermarket area, the statement said.

In December, 2016, Al Meera opened a new branch in North Sailiya (Al Miarad) on a total area of 4,000 square metres.
