Mubasher: Kuwait Food – Americana posted a drop of 73.9% in profits during the fourth quarter of 2016 as compared to the same period of 2016.

Earnings shrank to KWD 2.27 million ($7.44 million) in Q4-16 from KWD 8.68 million ($28.45 million) in Q4-15, according to a bourse statement issued on Thursday.

During the fiscal year, Americana’s profits increased 7% to KWD 46.97 million from KWD 43.9 million in fiscal year 2015.

The board members recommended a cash dividend of 615% or 615 fils per share, the statement noted.
