Mubasher: Barwa Real Estate Company on Tuesday said that it has signed a 27-year leasing contract for two plots of land with total area of 1.18 million square metres with the municipality and environment ministry.

The company will set up a residential city for foreign workers on the two plots according to the social, cultural and architectural standards to be in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, according to a bourse filing.

The new city will provide housing and facility areas for foreign workers, especially for slum residents, the company added.
