Mubasher: Aviation Lease and Finance (Alafco) stated that its current fleet of leased planes does not include Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.
Alafco said its current fleet consists of 64 leased aircraft, while it has registered an order of 118 planes to be delivered during 2019, according to a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.
The order includes 40 aircraft of Boeing 737 Max 8, Alafco said, noting that this leasing transaction is intact and did not witness any changes or a trial to renegotiate.
This statement follows the crash occurred in the Ethiopian airline’s fleet, as 157 people on board were dead; It was the second fatal accident involving the 737 Max 8 model in less than five months.
