Mubasher: Gulf Cable and Electrical Industries reported a surge of 189.4% in profits during the first three months of 2019 compared to the same quarter a year ago.
Profits enlarged to KWD 3.82 million ($9.56 million) in Q1-19 from KWD 1.32 million ($8.7 million) in Q1-18.
The increase in Q1 profits is credited to higher investment income.
