Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Competition (GAC) has fined four companies operating in the pharmaceutical sector SAR 20 million for violation of misuse of dominant position.

Cigalah Trading Establishments and Saudi International Trading Company Ltd. were fined SAR 4 million each, while Eli Lilly Export SA and Amgen (Europe) GmbH were fined SAR 6 million each, according to the authority’s statement.

The fines were imposed on the abovementioned companies due to selling goods or services at a price lower than their total cost to force entities out of the market or subject them to substantial losses, or to obstruct potential entities from entering the market.
