Mohamed Hesham, CEO of ePointZero

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: ePointZero, the global renewable energy platform of 2PointZero, has appointed Mohamed Hesham as its new CEO to accelerate the clean energy transition worldwide.

The appointment comes at a time when global electricity demand is expected to double by 2030, according to a press release.

In order to achieve global productivity, AI innovation must leverage scalable and reliable energy systems, which ePointZero delivers through end-to-end solutions across smart grids, industrial decarbonization, and component manufacturing.

Mariam Al Mheiri, Group CEO of 2PointZero, said: “The global energy equation is shifting, and 2PointZero is uniquely positioned as a key part of the UAE’s leadership in this field – both as capital provider and a builder of the new   industrial   backbone.”

Hesham commented on his appointment: "Leading ePointZero is about deploying capital while designing the infrastructure of the future. We are making bold, high-conviction investments in technologies that will scale across geographies and deliver reliable energy and environmental resilience.”

Under his leadership as Group CIO of 2PointZero, Hesham implemented several strategic acquisitions, including stakes in El Sewedy Electric, Mopani Copper Mines, and the Alphamin Tin Mine.

He also led ePointZero’s partnership with International Resources Holding (IRH) to decarbonize mining operations in Africa.

Founded in 2023, 2PointZero is a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC), serving as a transformational investment platform, emerging as an AI enabler and energy transition accelerator.
