CBE offers EGP 75bn debt instruments on Wednesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 70 billion through two issues on Wednesday, 4 June.

The first tranche amounted to EGP 25 billion and will mature in 91 days on 9 September 2025, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second issue was valued at EGP 45 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 10 March 2026.

The CBE also issued fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a value of EGP 5 billion through one auction, which will mature in two years on 6 May 2027.

Earlier this week, the financial authority auctioned T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 80 billion, in addition to T-bonds at a total amount of EGP 14 billion.
