CBE offers EGP 28.5bn in debt instruments on Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 21 billion over three tranches on Monday, 23 June 2025.

The first issue was valued at EGP 5 billion and will mature in two years on 6 May 2027, according to official data.

Valued at EGP 13 billion, the second semi-annual auction will mature in three years on 6 May 2028.

The third offering stood at EGP 3 billion, with a five-year maturity period until 20 May 2030.

The CBE also issued floating-rate T-bonds at an aggregated value of EGP 7.50 billion through two auctions, holding a tenor of three years and five years, respectively.

The first issue was valued at EGP 6 million and will mature on 27 May 2028, while the second offering amounted to EGP 1.50 billion and will mature on 10 June 2030.

A week ago, on 16 June, the financial authority announced debt instruments at a total value of EGP 24.50 billion.
