CBE auctions EGP 106bn T-bills, T-bonds on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 90 billion through two issues on Sunday, 6 July.

The first auction stood at EGP 40 billion and will mature in 182 days on 6 January 2026, according to official data.

Holding a tenor of 364 days until 7 July 2026, the second offering stood at EGP 50 billion.

The CBE also announced treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 16 billion through two offerings, valued at EGP 15 billion and EGP 1 billion, respectively.

The first issue carries a three-year maturity period until 1 July 2028, while the second offering will mature in five years on 8 July 2030.
