Cairo – Mubasher: Six of October Development and Investment (SODIC) posted 107% year-on-year (YoY) higher net profits after tax at EGP 1.30 billion in the first half (H1) of 2025, according to the financial results.
The registered net profits were compared to EGP 629.56 million in the January-June 2024 period.
SODIC delivered 313 units in H1-25, of which 148 were in East Cairo projects, while West Cairo accounted for 165 of the delivered units. This compares to 478 units delivered during H1-24.
Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) jumped to EGP 3.64 as of 30 June 2025 from EGP 1.76 a year earlier, while the operating revenues surged by 22% to EGP 4.77 billion from EGP 3.93 billion.
Total backlog of unrecognized revenue stood at EGP 89.40 billion as of 30 June 2025, providing strong revenue visibility for the EGX-listed real estate company.
Standalone Financials
In the first six months (6M) of 2025, SODIC registered standalone net profits after tax worth EGP 390.10 million, marking an annual hike from EGP 45.88 million.
Non-consolidated basic and diluted EPS surged EGP 1.10 in H1-25 from EGP 0.13 in H1-24, while the total operating revenues climbed to EGP 2.17 billion from EGP 1.48 billion.
Ayman Amer, General Manager of SODIC, commented: “The signing of a revenue share agreement for a 1,000-acre land plot in New Sphinx City marks a major milestone in our expansion strategy, effectively doubling our undeveloped land bank.”
He added: “With solid revenue growth, robust profitability, and a healthy balance sheet, we remain well-positioned to pursue our strategic priorities and deliver another year of record-breaking achievements.”
Quarterly Results
In the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, the consolidated profits after tax increased to EGP 349.74 million from EGP 237.51 million in Q2-24, while the basic and diluted EPS grew to EGP 0.97 to EGP 0.66.
The revenues hit EGP 2.02 billion during April-June 2025, an annual drop from EGP 2.09 billion.
During the three-month period that ended on 30 June 2025, SODIC incurred standalone net losses valued at EGP 126.29 million, versus EGP 2.19 million in Q2-24.
The sales rose to EGP 739.97 million from EGP 736.58 million, while the loss per share jumped to EGP 0.35 from EGP 0.01
At the end of March 2025, SODIC recorded consolidated net profits after tax of EGP 953.31 million, while the standalone net profits after tax reached EGP 516.39 million.
