CBE issues T-bills, T-bonds on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) with a combined value of EGP 80 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 27 July.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 35 billion, holding a 182-day maturity period until 27 January 2026, according to official data.

The second issue stood at EGP 45 billion and will mature in 364 days on 28 July next year.

Moreover, the CBE unveiled fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a value of EGP 7 billion, which will mature in two years on 8 July 2027.

The financial authority also auctioned floating-rate T-bonds worth EGP 1.50 billion, carrying a tenor of five years until 1 July 2030.
