Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Noatum Maritime, a subsidiary of AD Ports Group (AD Ports), has inaugurated its first office in Shanghai to strengthen the group’s presence in Asia and expand its global maritime services network.

The new office is part of Noatum Maritime, the agency and maritime services arm within the AD Ports’ Maritime & Shipping Cluster, according to a press release.

The Shanghai branch aims to support regional and international clients by offering comprehensive solutions to charterers, owners, operators, and ship managers across all vessel and cargo types.

The launch is expected to boost the company’s operations across Greater China and enhance service quality through local expertise.

Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO of  Maritime & Shipping Cluster, AD Ports Group, said: “Shanghai is a vital gateway in the global supply chain. With this launch, we bring our services closer to regional stakeholders, aligning with our mission to deliver operational excellence through proximity and deep market knowledge.”

The new opening follows the launch of AD Ports’ first international office in Beijing earlier this year, underlining the group’s commitment to China and broader ambitions in Asia's key maritime hubs.

With operations in over 140 global locations and a presence in 814 ports across 118 countries, AD Ports continues to expand its network and solidify its position as a leader in global maritime and logistics services.

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, AD Ports logged 16% higher net profits at AED 463.50 million, compared with AED 400.13 million in Q1-24.
