Cairo - Egypt: Electro Cable Egypt logged lower consolidated net profits at EGP 486.42 million in the first half (H1) of 2025, compared with EGP 1 billion in H1-25.

Earnings per share (EPS) halved to EGP 0.15 in H1-25 from EGP 0.30 in H1-24, according to the financial results.

Sales reached EGP 6.43 billion in the January-June 2025 period, marking a year-on-year (YoY) decline from EGP 6.64 billion.

Standalone Results

Non-consolidated net profits plummeted to EGP 26.45 million as of 30 June 2025 from EGP 316.11 million a year earlier. EPS fell to EGP 0.007 from EGP 0.078.

The EGX-listed firm generated sales amounting to EGP 2.80 billion in H1-25, compared to EGP 3.16 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.

Financial Statements for Q2

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, Electro Cable registered an annual decline in consolidated net profits to EGP 35.07 million, versus EGP 466.56 million.

The company posted sales valued at EGP 2.71 billion in Q2-25, signaling a YoY plunge from EGP 3.56 billion. EPS retreated to EGP 0.01 from EGP 0.14.

In the three-month period that ended on 30 June 2025, Electro Cable shifted to standalone net losses worth EGP 53.97 million, against net profits of EGP 148.58 million in Q2-24.

In 2024, Electro Cable registered an annual rise in consolidated net profit to EGP 1.32 billion, compared with EGP 1.24 billion.
