Dubai - Mubasher: Aramex has migrated its Oceania data center (DC) to Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, marking the beginning of its extensive global IT modernization journey.

The move aims to enhance operational agility, resilience, and performance while providing seamless customer experiences, according to a press release.

The migration involved transferring 88 virtual machines (VMs), including 18 dedicated to databases and 70 for applications.

Meanwhile, the partnership will leverage AWS’s disaster recovery and identity management solutions to ensure high security, reliability, and performance.

It serves as a blueprint for future data center exits and AI-driven cloud adoption across Aramex’s global operations.

Both organizations will join forces to reshape the future of the digital logistics landscape and set new industry standards for innovation worldwide.

Francoise Russo, Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Aramex, said: “By migrating our infrastructure to AWS, the world’s leading cloud provider, we are not just optimizing costs and enhancing security; we are building a more agile, scalable, and resilient foundation for our future of logistics.”

“This move allows us to accelerate our digital transformation mission, harness the power of data, and deliver a superior and more reliable experience for our customers across the globe,” Russo added.

Tanuja Randery, Vice President of AWS, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), commented: “By leveraging AWS’s world-leading cloud capabilities, Aramex can enhance its operational efficiency, strengthen security, and unlock new opportunities for innovation.”

Since 2006, AWS has been the world’s leading cloud platform, offering over 240 services across computing, storage, AI, IoT, and more from 120 availability zones in 38 regions.

Millions of customers, from startups to governments, rely on AWS for agility, scalability, and cost efficiency.

During the six-month period that ended on 30 June 2025, Aramex posted net profits valued at AED 7.85 million.
