Cairo - Mubasher: Crédit Agricole Egypt’s stock has attempted to break out of a prolonged sideways trend that has dominated price movement for over a year between the 15.00 and 20.00 levels.

This comes after it managed to break through the upper limit of the range and maintain a clear position above it, which is considered an important signal of a shift in the medium-term trend from accumulation to upward movement.

The breakout from the sideways range was supported by a noticeable improvement in trading volumes and a return of buying momentum, confirming that the rise is not a random rebound but rather the result of liquidity repositioning and a clear change in investor behavior towards the stock.

Furthermore, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is moving above 70 points in positive territory, reflecting the strength of the current trend despite the possibility of a short-term pullback.

Likewise, the MACD indicates a widening positive gap between its moving averages, which supports the continuation of the upward momentum.

Technically, the stock is now approaching a test of moderately important resistance near the 21.80-22.50 EGP range. Its success in confirming a breakout from this range will strengthen the targeting of EGP 24.00 and then EGP 25.50 as the next targets.

Meanwhile, the EGP 20.00 level remains the key turning point that will maintain the positive outlook as long as the stock stays above it.

Price Action Summary

Regarding the stock's performance in 2025, the defining characteristic of Crédit Agricole's stock is its trading within a wide sideways channel. It recorded good highs at the beginning of the year, reaching a level of -20.00 to -19.70 in April 2025.

However, it initially failed to break through the resistance level, resulting in directionless price movement in the second and third quarters of the year. This reflects investor hesitation and a balance between buying and selling forces.
