Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 70 billion through two auctions on Monday, 2 February, according to official data.
The first issue was valued at EGP 25 billion and will mature in 91 days on 5 May this year. Meanwhile, the second offering stood at EGP 45 billion, carrying a 273-day maturity period until 3 November 2026.
Moreover, the CBE auctioned fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 5 billion, which hold a five-year maturity period until 6 January 2031.
Earlier this week, the central bank issued T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 90 billion.
