CBE auctions EGP 37bn debt instruments on Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 35 billion through two tranches on 23 February, according to official data.

With a tenor of two years until 17 February 2028, the first auction was valued at EGP 10 billion.

The second offering stood at EGP 25 billion and will mature in three years on 17 February 2029.

Moreover, the CBE unveiled floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 2 billion through one tranche, which carries a five-year maturity period until 24 February 2031.
