Riyadh – Mubasher: Waja Company’s board of directors accepted the resignation of audit committee member Abdullah Mohammed Al Sharif to be effective 2 July 2026, according to a bourse filing.

Al Sharif, who served as an external member of the committee since 24 March 2023, cited personal reasons for his departure in a resignation submitted on 30 June 2026.

The board approved the appointment of Alaa El Sayed Darwish as an external member of the audit committee to fill the vacancy.

The term for Darwish appointment begins on 2 July 2026 and will continue until the end of the current board cycle on 23 March 2028.

Furthermore, Darwish brings over 25 years of professional experience in auditing and financial advisory services. His career includes more than 8 years as an audit manager at Deloitte and over 10 years as an audit manager at Crowe Horwath.

The new member currently serves as an executive director of audit services at Morison Global

Moreover, Darwish holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Cairo University and is a fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors. His credentials also include a 2024 award for excellence in fraud examination.
