Riyadh – Mubasher: Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Company turned profitable at SAR 1.11 million for the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, compared to a net loss of SAR 15.34 million in Q2-25.
The company attributed the turnaround to a SAR 13.70 million improvement in insurance service results and a SAR 2.70 million increase in investment income.
Insurance revenue for the quarter rose by 3.18% to SAR 157.69 million, driven primarily by a SAR 13.80 million increase in motor insurance premiums.
Net investment results grew by 49.03% to reach SAR 8.34 million, while other operating expenses decreased by SAR 4.30 million.
In the first half (H1) of 2026, the company recorded a net profit of SAR 2.11 million.
Earnings per share (EPS) hit SAR 0.07 for the current period. Total shareholders' equity, excluding non-controlling interests, was reported at SAR 344.32 million, representing a 7.07% decrease from SAR 370.52 million a year earlier.
Accumulated losses reached SAR 39.37 million, accounting for 13.12% of the company's capital.
