Riyadh – Mubasher: Middle East Paper Company (MEPCO) logged a net profit of SAR 15.29 million for the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, representing a 192.61% hike compared to SAR 5.23 million in the same period last year.
The company attributed the growth to a rise in sales volumes and improved average selling prices alongside a more efficient marketing mix.
Quarterly revenues reached SAR 298.01 million, up 8.32% from SAR 275.13 million a year earlier.
Gross profit for the three-month period rose by 52.51% to SAR 56.52 million, while operating profit climbed by 70.47% to SAR 20.37 million. The results marked a significant turnaround from the previous quarter, where the company recorded a net loss of SAR 1.99 million.
For the first half (H1) of 2026, net profit reached SAR 13.29 million, a 25.93% increase from SAR 10.56 million in the first six months (6M) of 2025. Total revenue stood at SAR 542.31 million.
Earnings per share (EPS) went up to SAR 0.15 in H1-26 from SAR 0.12 in the prior-year period. Total shareholders' equity, excluding non-controlling interests, was reported at SAR 1.64 billion as of 30 June 2026.
The company’s board recently recommended a reallocation of net proceeds from its previous capital increase, which raised SAR 629.99 million through the issuance of 19.99 million new ordinary shares.
